Rates
Basic Rates Packages
I do not charge a great deal to shoot for one main reason: I don’t like anyone to feel like they came to shoot and walked out having been kicked in the ass for what they paid. I shoot low tech. I’m not some schooled professional with light hookups, sets, extensive backdrops and rigging. I shoot guerilla style. Every shoot I do has the potential to be an adventure, but I guarantee you’ll be pleased with the results.
You want to hire me? Cool. We’ll make art. But don’t contact me to shoot if you don’t want to do the kind of work I do. If you are the kind of person who wants some powderpuff high-fashion basic shoot(not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just not what I do), then you should hire someone else. If you want to get dirty, you want grit and grunge and emotion and art, I’m your guy. I’ll give you everything I have. I’ll bleed for the work. If you will too, then we’ll make magic.
These are my prices. Payment is accepted in the form of Cash, Money Order, and Paypal. A Minimum ofHALF up front is required at time of booking for me to set aside the time and the day to shoot.This is non-refundable. The other half is required on the day of the shoot before we take a picture.
Basic Shoot – $75 –
– 2 Looks/Styles over approximately 2-3 Hours
– At least 1-2 Print Quality edits of each style(minimum 4 edits)
– Web size/quality versions of all edits
Tier 2 Shoot – $100 -
– 3-4 Looks/Styles over approximately 3-4 Hours
– At least 1-2 Print Quality edits of each style(minimum 6 edits)
– Web size/quality versions of all edits
Tier 3 Shoot – $150 -
– As many Looks/Styles as time permits over approximately 6 Hours or so
– At least 1-2 Print Quality edits of each style(minimum 8 edits)
– Web size/quality versions of all edits
– 2(two) 11″ x 14″ Print of your choice from any of the edits or any other available print of my work.
– Free Basic Shoot at a later date
Design Package – $350 –
– Complete shoot as Tier 3
– Complete Original Modelling Portfolio Website Design(Basic, but custom)
– URL and Hosting included for the first year, additional years $25 each, payable in advance or upon anniversary
PLEASE NOTE: Getting an MUA or STYLIST with any of the above packages is an extra charge and I work with some of the best in the business(at least so far as I’m concerned.) So..if you want one, let me know and I’ll figure out which is available and get a price.
Paying me to shoot entitles you to the following as well…
- You will have input on what we shoot and how we shoot it.
- We will shoot whatever you want to shoot….within reason. I don’t like wasting my time on something I just can’t use and I don’t shoot boring. Like I said before, if you want to hire me, hire me for what I do.
- A DVD with all images(if requested) and a Copy of the Liscense Agreement
- The right to place the images on your personal profiles, modelling sites, etc. All usage terms are outlined in the Liscensing Agreement.
Trade Shooting(TFP/TFCD)
My Policy on trade shooting is pretty simple: “Tell me why I shouldn’t charge you.”
My time to shoot is pretty limited, I charge very little as it is, and I have to schedule people as I can actually work. Between travel, time spent, etc, I can no longer afford much trade shooting as a viable means of work. Therefore, I created the above rates. They’re MORE than reasonable, I think. Cheaper than most other artists in the area that I’ve experienced but still worth the money. I’ve had people agree and I’ve had people purcase each package at different times, with the Tier 2 shoot being the most popular for the price.
Who do I offer trade shoots to? People who interest me, and therefore I say “Tell me why I shouldn’t charge you.” which really means “What makes you special that I should give you a break?” If you can answer that question and I like the answer, well then we might just work something out.
Please note however, that if I give you a trade shoot…we shoot whatever I want. This is an Art shoot, so far as I’m concerned so be prepared and willing to do pretty much whatever I say. Basically, look through the portfolio. If you’re not comfortable with pretty much ALL of the kind of work I do, then there is likely to be a problem. I don’t like problems. I’m not fond of drama.
As for what constitutes “trade”…I will exchange trade for interesting abilities/talents I can use in photos, baked goods, good locations for shooting(i.e. – Warehouses, Dilapidated Locations, etc.), and more.
